日高村のキャラクターでもある「もへいくん」のモデルとなった日下茂平が修行したと言われている猿田洞。這ったり、登ったりスリリングな洞窟探検を体験。

高知市内から車で３０分ほどの場所に位置するめだか池（日下川調整池）は、日高村を水害から守る１４ヘクタール（東京ドーム３個分！）の高知県内最大級の湿地帯で、湿地性の植物や水生昆虫など野生生物の宝庫になっています。春から秋にかけては、桜やアジサイ、ヒガンバナなどと共に、足もとの小さな草花が池の周りに咲き誇ります。そして夏は40種以上のトンボが池周辺で見られます。冬場には冬鳥の楽園に様変わりするめだか池で、ガイドとともにそーっと観察してみませんか？めだか池では、四季を通じて自然を満喫できます。

Have you ever seen iron turn red hot? At this traditional blacksmithing workshop, where each hoe is carefully handcrafted, you can witness up close how iron is heated, hammered and shaped. There's something mesmerizing about the artisans' precise, fluid movements as they transform raw metal into a finished tool.
