Kusaka River Reservoir Nature Observation Tour
Tour of nature observation such as birds, plants, and dragonflies

The Kusaka River Reservoir (Medaka Pond), located just a 30-minute drive from Kochi City, is Kochi Prefecture's largest wetlands. Created as a flood control pond, it supports a thriving ecosystem and is home to valuable plants, wild birds and dragonflies.
In spring and fall, you can observe a variety of plants, including plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, higanbana, and aquatic plants like foot flowers and coleoptera. In summer, over 30 species of dragonflies can be seen, and in winter, wild birds such as ducks migrate to the area to overwinter. Many small birds also gather near the water.
Experienced guides provide easy-to-understand commentary as you stroll around the pond.
Why not take some time to relax and immerse yourself in the richness of nature?
